The 2019 Annual Conference will be held at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center (400 Renaissance Drive), in Detroit, Michigan. NLADA has negotiated a special conference rate of $198 per night (plus taxes) for a single or double room, which includes complimentary Internet access.

HOTEL FEATURES AND NEARBY ATTRACTIONS
This hotel is located on the RiverWalk in downtown Detroit and features views of downtown Detroit, the Detroit River, and Canada through floor-to-ceiling windows. You’ll be within walking distance to downtown Detroit attractions, and the Renaissance Center includes a stop on the People Mover, an elevated train on a 3-mile loop around downtown Detroit, that takes you to many neighborhoods, restaurants, and other local attractions.

The Marriott offers both self-parking for $25 per day and valet parking for $35 per day.

GETTING AROUND IN DETROIT
Downtown Detroit and several adjacent neighborhoods are served by the "Detroit People Mover" -- an above ground train that makes a one direction loop through many of the city's most popular neighborhoods and attractions. The system has 13 stops, with trains running about every 3 minutes, and costs just $0.75 per ride.

TRAVEL TO DETROIT
Air Travel
Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) is 20 miles from the Detroit Marriott hotel.

Taxi Cabs & Uber/Lyft
Expect one-way taxi fares (including tip) to be approximately $50-55 and to take about 30 minutes in normal traffic. Regular Uber/Lyft services will cost about $30-40.

Train and Bus Stations
The Detroit Amtrak station, also known as the Baltimore Street station, is located at 11 West Baltimore Avenue, 4.4 miles from the Marriott hotel.

The Detroit Greyhound bus station is located at 1001 Howard Street, 1.4 miles from the Marriott hotel.
