Reporting Claims

If you receive notice of a claim (a demand or suit for money or services), you must provide written notice of the claim, with full details, to the carrier immediately.

If you become aware of a wrongful act or any facts or other circumstances that may reasonably be expected to subsequently give rise to a claim or disciplinary proceeding, you should provide written notice of the incident, with full details, to the carrier as soon as practicable.

The Claim Reporting Guidelines can be found in your policy.

All NLADA Insurance Program policies with an effective date of January 1, 2023 or later will be underwritten by the NLADA Mutual Insurance Co., A Risk Retention Group (“NLADA Mutual”).  If your policy is underwritten by NLADA Mutual and you need to report a claim or potential claim, you can obtain information on where and how to do that here.

If your current policy was underwritten by The Hanover Insurance Group (“Hanover”), it will remain in effect until its expiration date in 2023. All currently reported claims and any that arise until your 2022 policy expires will continue to be handled by Hanover until they are closed.  Important - please be sure to file all current claims and potential claims with Hanover before the expiration date of your policy.  If your policy is underwritten by Hanover and you need to report a claim or potential claim, you can obtain information on where and how to do that here.
