The Indiana Public Defender Council seeks a full-time Training Director to perform the following duties. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Develop annual training plan and budget; oversee financial planning and management of training programs; plan, conduct, and evaluate training programs; utilize technology to improve the delivery of effective training; supervise duties of other staff involved in training programs; and design, develop, and implement a mentoring program.
Required Qualifications: Law degree from an accredited law school; and courtroom experience as indigent defense counsel.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing and implementing training programs; experience as faculty for skills programs; ability to provide direct training to individuals and groups; excellent project management and interpersonal communications skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; general computer literacy and ability to learn new software applications (Cvent, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.) as needed.
