Role Snapshot:

As our General Support Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the infrastructure and support for state-based election programs. Your responsibilities include facilitating the Election Protection Hotline, coordinating with local command centers, and ensuring seamless communication among partners to overcome voting challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and support state Election Protection coalition activities, acting as a vital liaison between the Election Protection Hotline and state coalitions.

Integrate the Election Protection Hotline infrastructure with election command centers and local call centers, ensuring seamless communication and swift resolution of reported voting issues.

Conduct thorough follow-ups on voter problems reported to the Hotline, maintaining a proactive approach to address emerging challenges promptly.

Engage in ongoing communication with state and local partners to keep Lawyers’ Committee staff updated on evolving issues related to changes in voting laws or election administration within assigned states.

Collaborate with the EP Legal Analyst to facilitate the review of legal materials with state and local partners or legal volunteers, ensuring compliance and accuracy in legal documentation.

Conduct comprehensive trainings for state and local partners on election protection tools, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to tackle voting obstacles effectively.

Fulfill data requests regarding voting queries or issues reported in the Our Vote Live database, contributing to a robust repository of information for enhanced electoral transparency.

Provide administrative support for EP coalition activities, including managing swag orders, coordinating microgrants, and posting compelling social media content aligned with the EP coalition’s objectives.

Play a vital role in educating the public about voting regulations and rights, actively promoting the 866-OUR-VOTE Hotline and empowering individuals with accurate voting information.

Navigate and manage relationships among national, state, and local coalition partners, ensuring cohesive collaboration and unified efforts toward preserving fair voting practices and rights Position Details:

Full-time, term-limited until January 2025

Remote work permitted, occasional travel to assigned states required

Reports to the Manager of Campaigns and Field Programs in VRP

Requirements: 

Minimum Requirements:

Passionate commitment to racial justice and civil rights.

At least 1 year of experience in national or state-level democracy-related campaigns.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Proficiency in managing diverse coalitions and communities of color.

Experience in community organizing and technology infrastructure preferred.
