The Federal Trade Commission received almost 400,000 complaints about identity theft and almost 1.3 million complaints about consumer fraud last year.  Join this webinar to learn how you can help identity theft and consumer fraud victims. Staff from the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection will describe how you can use FTC resources to report fraud and help your clients recover from identity theft. In particular, the webinar will show how you can use the FTC’s Identitytheft.gov website to produce customized recovery plans for victims.  Participants will also learn about some of the most egregious frauds that can affect low-income clients and what you can do to help report those scams to civil and criminal law enforcement.
