Each year NLADA hosts a dinner of more than 500 advocates of equal justice, public interest attorneys, private attorneys, and general counsel to honor and recognize champions of the justice community. In addition to the 2017 Exemplar Honoree, Max Laun, Arconic’s Vice President and General Counsel, two Kutak-Dodds prizes of $10,000 each will be awarded to a civil legal aid attorney and to a public defense attorney for their outstanding lifetime dedication in providing legal services to those in need.
