NLADA Hosts Litigation & Advocacy Leaders Conference in Cincinnati

More than 200 advocates from across the country gathered in Cincinnati for NLADA's 2026 Litigation & Advocacy Leaders Conference, creating a dynamic forum for collaboration, innovation, and strategic planning in support of equal justice. The conference brought together leaders from civil legal aid organizations, civil rights groups, state support centers, and national advocacy organizations to share litigation strategies, strengthen partnerships, and address the rapidly evolving legal landscape. 

Attendees explored timely issues through plenary sessions focused on protecting vulnerable communities in increasingly challenging legal and policy environments and on the critical role frontline advocates play in shaping the national advocacy agenda. More than two dozen breakout sessions covered a wide range of topics, including litigation against federal agencies, housing and healthcare advocacy, language access, AI and legal ethics, affirmative litigation, appellate practice, client confidentiality, constitutional litigation, and developing the next generation of legal aid litigators. Throughout the conference, participants exchanged practical tools, built lasting professional connections, and returned to their organizations better equipped to advance justice for the communities they serve.
