The Dawson County Attorney’s Office in Lexington, Nebraska, is seeking applications for a full-time Deputy County Attorney position. Interested persons must be licensed to practice law in the State of Nebraska. New graduates pursuing a Nebraska license are also encouraged to apply.
This position provides regular courtroom/trial experience and the opportunity to work closely with a group of seasoned attorneys. Primary duties will include:
Criminal prosecution of adult felony and misdemeanor cases
Juvenile law practice including all aspects of the County Attorney's obligations in juvenile court as well as child support duties
Assigned on-call periods to answer after-hours legal questions from law enforcement
Handle coroner matters

Juris Doctorate in Law and admitted to the State Bar of Nebraska.
Eight (8) years of full-time legal experience in the practice of law, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
