The Operations Manager supports the mission of the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law by leading all administrative and operational functions of the organization. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role oversees day-to-day operations and serves as the primary liaison with external accounting, HR, and IT consultants. The OM is a key member of the leadership team and plays a central role in administration, finance, HR, facilities, and technology management
Experience in operations, administration, or office management, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Ability to serve as a member of the leadership team supporting strategic planning and mission execution
Demonstrated ability to oversee office operations, including facilities, vendors, equipment, and building safety
Experience managing administrative systems, calendars, deadlines, and daily office coverage
Knowledge of HR and payroll coordination, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and timesheet review
Ability to maintain confidential personnel records and support compliance, audits, and reporting
Experience coordinating financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and budget tracking
Ability to work with external accounting, HR, IT consultants, and other vendors
Familiarity with grant reporting and financial documentation support
Experience overseeing technology systems, data security, and staff technology needs
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience supervising, training, and supporting administrative staff
