Seeking a Litigation Attorney(Senior Associate) to join our Pittsburgh office. They will independently manage complex, high-stakes litigation matters from inception through settlement or trial. They must be a confident courtroom advocate, comfortable with significant client interaction, and capable of mentoring junior associates.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage litigation matters from inception through trial and/or settlement.
• Draft, argue, and file motions, briefs, pleadings, and other essential legal documents.
• Represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and experts for testimony.
• Conduct and oversee all discovery processes, including e-discovery, document review, and production.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
• Act as a primary client contact, managing relationships and delivering practical, solutions-oriented advice.
• Mentor and train junior associates and litigation support staff; ensure team compliance with all deadlines and case requirements.
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school (strong academic credentials preferred).
• Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania (in good standing).
• 6–10 years of litigation experience in a law firm or comparable professional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation cases.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience with federal court proceedings.
• Strong leadership qualities with proven experience mentoring junior staff.
• Comfortable with significant client contact and relationship building.
