On Friday, July 11, at 12:00 p.m. ET, the Wren Collective will host a virtual briefing discussing the impact of the Trump cuts on community health and safety. We will discuss the DOJ violence prevention cuts, the substance use and mental health treatment cuts, and the downstream effects of cuts to Medicaid and other public insurance programs.
The discussion will feature Dr. William Weber, Medical Director of the Medical Justice Alliance and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Rush University Medical Center; Insha Rahman, Vice President, Advocacy & Partnerships at Vera Institute of Justice and the Director of Vera Action; Jamila Hodge, Executive Director, EJUSA; and Tara Stutsman, Senior Campaign Strategist at the ACLU. Jessica Brand from the Wren Collective will moderate the briefing.
As part of our JustFundIt campaign, we are sharing this external opportunity as a resource for our community. Please note that this is not an NLADA-hosted event.
