As our first IT Director, you will be the driving force behind our technology operations. You will oversee all IT-related activities in close collaboration with our managed service provider, with whom we have a strong and effective partnership. Building on this solid foundation, you will lead innovative projects that align with our strategic plan. This is a unique opportunity to ensure continued smooth IT operations while guiding our organization into an AI-driven, innovative future.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement IT strategies and budgets.
• Manage IT projects and ensure their successful completion.
• Oversee vendor management and IT services.
• Lead future innovations, especially in AI.
• Supervise a data analyst and collaborate on strategic use of data analysis.
• Review cybersecurity needs.
• Be the first point of contact for all IT communications.
• Manage internal and external IT communications.
• Chair and manage internal technology committees.
• Oversee tech inventory and training programs.
• Develop technology policies and knowledge management systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of experience managing technology operations. College education can be substituted for years of experience.
• 4 years of progressive leadership experience to include a role like this one.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations.
• Experience with AI and cloud-based technologies.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• A valid driver’s license, occasional driving to other offices.

LSEM advances justice through legal representation, education, and supportive services. We partner with the community to improve lives, promote fairness, and create opportunities for those in need. Since 1956, LSEM has provided high-quality civil legal assistance and equal access to justice for low-income people in 21 counties in Missouri. We accomplish our mission through systemic advocacy/impact litigation and individual case work in a wide range of substantive civil areas which are in our priorities, e.g., family law for victims of domestic violence, prevention of homelessness/housing, health, public benefits, consumer, education, disability, community economic development, and immigration. As part of our community education/outreach efforts, LSEM works with over 150 agencies and participates in over 35 task forces/coalitions and has a vibrant Volunteer Lawyers Program.

Salary & Benefits Information:
The salary range for this position is $80,000-100,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate will be based on their experience. There are opportunities for advancement, including raises. Excellent benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, a generous time off policy (starting at 4 weeks per year), 11 paid holidays, 12 weeks paid parental leave, 403(b) and 401(a) retirement plans, long-term disability and life insurance, employee assistance plan, and flexible spending accounts.
