Capital Collateral Regional Counsel-North is seeking a second chair attorney for postconviction death penalty litigation. Duties include developing a rapport with death sentenced clients, re-investigation for guilt and penalty phase issues, public records litigation, motions for postconviction relief in the trial court and petitions for writ of habeas corpus in federal court, conducting evidentiary hearings, and filing appeals in the FSC, 11th Cir., and USSC. Second chair attorneys will work with a lead attorney, an investigator, and experts to develop mitigation themes and challenge forensic evidence.
Must be a member of the Florida Bar or willing to become one. Must have excellent research and writing skills.
