The NLADA Annual Conference is the premier skills-building and knowledge-sharing event for the civil legal aid, public defense and public interest law communities. A place where you rekindle old friendships, forge new alliances, and re-commit yourself to the work of equal justice. And an opportunity to access substantive information and professional skills training to meet the legal needs of your clients.
The 2023 Annual Conference will take place in Oakland, California from November 8-11, 2023.
As always, NLADA is committed to racial justice, and will be looking for all workshop proposals to include a race equity lens. NLADA also wants to encourage our community to collaborate across disciplines and expertise. We will be prioritizing workshops that integrate Community Advocate, Civil and Defender voices and perspectives.
If you would like to lead or plan a workshop, complete the requested information, below, and scroll to the bottom of the screen to click on "Submit" to send your proposal. After submitting your proposal, you will receive a confirmation email and will have the option to submit another proposal or edit what you have submitted.
We are planning for all workshops to be 90 minutes long. Workshops will take place on November 8,9, and 10. Please keep all of those dates available as we will not know until closer to the event when accepted workshops will be scheduled.
Proposals and completed Presenter Forms are due by May 19, 2023.
