THE OPPORTUNITY: CHIEF EQUITY OFFICER
 
The Chief Equity Officer position is an important new addition to the Lakeshore Legal Aid team. Reporting to Ashley Lowe, CEO, the ideal Chief Equity Officer will lead in championing Lakeshore Legal Aid's ongoing commitment to developing a strong culture of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). In this role, their primary responsibility will be to lead through influence and advance Lakeshore's impact on our work in the communities where we live and serve.

Requirements: 

The Chief Equity Officer will bring deep expertise around DEIB practices, principles, and experience leading large-scale
culture change. The candidate will be an exceptional strategist, communicator,
and facilitator who can create a vision, a
road map for achieving that vision, and
the collective buy-in and accountability required to achieve organizational change. Chief Equity Officer will work in close partnership with Lakeshore Legal Aid’s CEO
and colleagues on the executive team, as
well as staff members across the entire organization, to develop and implement a framework and vision for Lakeshore Legal
Aid’s equity and inclusion work.
