Disability Rights Maryland (DRM) seeks a Data and Technology Administrator to support our team of attorneys and advocates to promote and advance the human and legal rights of people with disabilities.
The Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and updating our case file database, running data reports for our internal and external use, serving as a data collection and reporting specialist; coordinating with IT and telephone vendors; and promoting technology solutions to advance DRM’s work. The Administrator will work collaboratively across the organization.
Embracing the use of technology, data, and business systems as vital components of organizational effectiveness is required. Specialized IT or networking skills are not required.
Responsibilities Include:
• Engage in qualitative and quantitative analysis of case data
• Review accuracy and completeness of data entered by legal staff, including random sample reviews
• Coordinate data collection procedures and conduct periodic internal data audits to ensure database consistency and integrity
• Monitor and analyze variances in consultation with grant managers
• Accurately complete and reconcile the data portions of approximately 20-25 external grant reports per year
• Draft and maintain database instructional manual, data retention and destruction policies
• Train new staff on database use
• Maintain and troubleshoot core business applications including hardware, Microsoft suite, and phone system in coordination with contracted specialized vendors
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or 2 years’ related work experience
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, teamwork ethic, and proactive use of research and problem- solving skills to support outcomes
• Ability to successfully manage multiple work priorities, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
• Ability to exercise assertiveness and diplomacy; take initiative; work independently and as part of a team; think critically and synthesize program needs and operational issues
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal data
• Strong data analysis, written and oral communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft products including Teams and Excel, database functions, Zoom, and Adobe Pro.
• Access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in relevant field, or 3+ years’ related work experience
• Database management experience in a nonprofit environment of similar size and scale, or in a civil legal services organization
• Data mapping, data mining, business systems analysis, or system maintenance experience
• Experience training staff in use of technology applications, implementing workflow policies and procedures
• Demonstrated interest or background in non-profit or public interest work, particularly related to disability issues
• Life experience with a disability
• Fluency in American Sign Language or Spanish
Salary and Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is between $50,000 and $65,000 and depends upon experience.

While DRM can offer some flexibility in hours, days, and location of work (within the State of Maryland), generally work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
