Our core work includes effective client-centered advocacy and robust outreach to and partnerships with our client communities.

The attorneys will help oversee the administration of the projects and will hold regular client intake hours at clinical sites; participate in leadership team and project evaluation meetings with clinical partners; serve as a liaison between the legal and clinical project partners; and may help train, recruit, and mentor private volunteer attorneys who will accept pro bono referrals. The attorneys will also handle a varied caseload involving homelessness prevention, income and health insurance maximization, domestic relations, special education, and guardianship. The attorneys will have grant-reporting and administrative duties. Full-time or part-time options.

QUALIFICATIONS: Admission to Massachusetts Bar, or eligible to sit for next Massachusetts Bar examination, or entitled to practice under a Massachusetts practice rule required. Access to reliable transportation and willingness to meet with clients at medical facilities required. Candidate must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills, including versatility in communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders. Experience in developing, administering and/or working as an attorney in a medical-legal partnership or other collaborative setting strongly preferred, as are strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well with corporate and institutional partners. Fluency in a second language, especially Spanish, preferred. Recent law school graduates are eligible to apply, as are more experienced attorneys.

COMPENSATION: The starting salary for this position is $62,500, which is based on a union scale and adjusted upward depending on experience.
