Micronesian Legal Services Corporation (MLSC) seeks to increase access to justice throughout Micronesia, through a network of regional offices in the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of Palau, and Guam.
MLSC is seeking applications for the position of Attorney in our Marianas office on Saipan.
General Responsibilities:
MLSC increases access to justice primarily through three strategies: comprehensive civil legal services, from advice to representation in court; community education; and collaboration. We welcome applications from attorneys with experience and enthusiasm for advocating for low income communities using all three strategies.
The attorney will handle a wide variety of civil cases.
• Have graduated from an ABA-accredited law school; or be admitted to practice before the highest court of a jurisdiction where that court's jurisprudence is based upon the common law tradition; and
• Admitted to practice before the courts of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, or eligible to be admitted.
