Join us on Wednesday, March 31st at 3:00pm pm EDT/12:00pm PDT to hear from system stakeholders in three jurisdictions who have used innovative approaches to reduce their backlogs. This webinar will be presented by Keir Bradford-Grey, Chief Defender of Philadelphia; Hon. Spencer Merriweather, III, District Attorney of Charlotte-Mecklenburg; Hon. Mary E. Triggiano, Chief Judge, Milwaukee County; and Holly Szablewski, District Court Administrator, Milwaukee County. The presenters will share their experiences and expertise in managing their backlogs during the pandemic, including policy shifts, the use of pre-entry advocates to connect individuals to appropriate services without criminal justice system involvement, and proceeding with jury trials during this unprecedented time. This webinar is made possible by the support of the MacArthur Foundation’s Safety and Justice Challenge and is free and open for all who wish to attend.
