POSITION SUMMARY

NLADA is seeking a creative, dynamic and detail oriented individual to serve as our Strategic Communications Intern. This individual will support efforts to increase NLADA’s influence in a very dynamic manner. Our mission to expand access to justice to all is never more important than it is now. As the Strategic Communications Intern, you will get a chance to:

  • Manage NLADA’s social media presence by posting to and monitoring our Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Draft newsletters, marketing emails and other short form writing
  • Assist with website editing and content management
  • Edit video and photos
  • Assist the communications team with various tasks as assigned
Requirements: 

The NLADA Communications Department has a friendly, fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As such, our Strategic Communications Intern should:

  • Be an undergraduate or graduate student with relevant communications coursework, or a graduate student with a minimum of one (1) year working experience in a relevant field
  • Have strong organizational skills and keen detail-orientation
  • Have a demonstrated work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Have excellent written communications skills in AP style
  • Have a deep understanding of Microsoft Office software - including PowerPoint
  • Have strong digital social media skills including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
