Immigrant Justice CorpsImmigrant Justice Corps (IJC) is the nation's leading fellowship program dedicated to expanding access to legal representation for immigrants. Since 2014, IJC has trained more than 500 lawyers and advocates who have provided legal services to over 135,000 immigrants nationwide. As a recognized leader in immigrant justice, talent development, and access to counsel, IJC is poised for its next chapter of growth and impact.
The OpportunityIJC seeks a visionary, mission-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through its next phase of growth and influence. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic leadership, drive fundraising and external engagement, oversee organizational performance, and champion IJC's nationally recognized fellowship model.
This is an opportunity to lead a highly respected national organization at a pivotal moment for immigrant communities and the legal services field.
 

Requirements: 

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights, access to justice, and social change.
  • Significant senior leadership experience in a nonprofit, legal services, public interest, educational, or similarly mission-driven organization.
  • Deep understanding of the immigration legal services ecosystem and the challenges facing immigrant-serving organizations.
  • Experience representing immigrants, supervising immigration legal services, or comparable professional expertise in the field.
  • Proven success leading organizations, teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives at scale.
  • Strong fundraising, donor engagement, and external relationship-building experience.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A track record of building inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing cultures.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of immigration advocates and leaders.

Strongly Preferred

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.)
  • Prior CEO, Executive Director, or comparable executive leadership experience
  • Experience working with immigrant-serving organizations and diverse communities

Compensation: This position offers a competitive salary and includes a comprehensive benefits package. We actively welcome all candidates from a wide range of backgrounds who have the skills to fulfill this role. Our anticipated compensation range is $340,000-$375,000. Equal Opportunity Employer
