Northwest Justice Project (NJP) invites third-year law students and recent law graduates to apply with us for a two-year public interest legal fellowship (such as Equal Justice Works or Skadden Fellowships) beginning in 2027. The start date will be dependent upon availability of fellowship funding and the candidate.
The fellow will work closely with NJP to develop a two-year project that will expand NJP’s capacity to confront poverty and advocate for consumer protection needs of Washington’s low-income communities. If successfully funded, the fellow will be able to help shape NJP’s strategic, client-centered consumer advocacy and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and mentoring environment.
If successfully funded, salary is based upon years of experience, with a hiring range of $83,548 to $146,692. This is an exempt position. NJP also offers compensation for those who are regularly asked to use a language other than English in their work. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes 100% paid employee health premiums and significant premium shares for family health premiums, as well as generous time off.
