Founded in 2010, The Law Offices of Kenneth S. Cooper is a parent-side special education legal practice based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, dedicated to providing free legal services to parents of public school children throughout Pennsylvania.

Role Description

This is a full-time, high volume, remote role for a Special Education Attorney. The attorney will provide legal representation and advice related to special education cases, conduct case research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in negotiations and proceedings. Ability to be in the Greater Philadelphia area is preferred, but not essential. Professional and/or personal experience with special education or, alternatively, experience with a high volume case load is essential. Spanish language fluency is a plus. Parent attorney's fees are awarded via a fee shifting statute under federal special education law allowing our office to represent parent's at no charge.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Special Education Law desired, but unnecessary to apply
Excellent executive functioning skills with the ability to independently manage and track a high volume caseload
Excellent Negotiation abilities to resolve disputes effectively and advocate for client interests
PA Licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar
Professional or personal experience in special education law or a related legal discipline is highly desirable
Must desire fully remote, work from home employment.

Starting Salary $50k-$100k+ based on experience. 401k Provided. Significant salary increases over time.
