Reporting to a Supervising Attorney, this Staff Attorney will support VIP’s low-income clients facing critical legal needs, and recruit, train and support volunteer attorneys. While this position will support an array of civil case types, the primary focus will be on landlord-tenant matters.
The position is full-time (38-40 hours/week) and exempt, with a salary range of $63,700 to $69,200 based on years of relevant experience, and an outstanding team atmosphere. For over 50 years, Legal Aid Chicago has provided free civil legal assistance to people living in poverty in metropolitan Chicago. Each year our attorneys, volunteers, and staff help resolve civil legal problems, including domestic violence, consumer fraud, and unfair evictions.
