NLADA to Honor 30 Firms with the 2025 Beacon of Justice Award

Washington, D.C. (August 5, 2025) – The National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA) is pleased to announce that 30 firms will be honored with the 2025 Beacon of Justice Award. Each honoree is being recognized for their efforts to advance equal justice for families and communities.

“Thriving communities begin with strong families; therefore, we must ensure that families can access legal aid when needed. It is my pleasure to honor these law firms who have worked tirelessly to support families and communities through their pro bono efforts,” said NLADA President & CEO April Frazier Camara.

Through innovative pro bono work, the 2025 Beacon of Justice honorees have demonstrated how legal advocacy can create meaningful, lasting change for individuals, families, and communities. All 2025 Beacon Award winners are being recognized based on their 2024 pro bono achievements.

The Beacon of Justice awardees will be celebrated at the 2025 NLADA Exemplar Awards Gala on September 24, in Washington, DC.
