Ohio State Legal Services Association (OSLSA) is looking for a bankruptcy attorney with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of indigent people and their communities for its field office. The attorney would be located in Columbus at OSLSA's other field program, The Legal Aid Society of Columbus (LASC), and work closely with its bankruptcy attorney in identifying best practices, sharing and maximizing resources, and helping to design and implement creative systems to efficiently and effectively meet the needs of SEOLS and LASC clients and staff. Qualifications:
Demonstrated patience, compassion, respect, and commitment to serving low-income individuals;
Experience in filing Chapter 7 bankruptcies and knowledge as to how bankruptcy issues arise in other substantive areas of the law;
Creativity and flexibility;
Ability to train and work with volunteer attorneys and students;
Comfort with technology.
Applicants must be admitted to the Ohio Bar or eligible to take the next bar exam.
