NLADA’S Individual Members are any person involved or interested in the civil legal aid or defender communities.
Individual Members include civil legal aid advocates and indigent defense lawyers, bar association leaders and staff, private practice attorneys, judges, law school clinicians and faculty, pro se facilitators, paralegals, investigators, clients, law students and private citizens who support NLADA's mission. Individual Members receive all the same access and benefits as employees of civil or defender member programs.
Employees of member programs who wish to show their individual support for NLADA may join as individual members at reduced rates.
- Attorney: $100 ($75 for program member employees)
- Non-Attorney Professional: $60 ($40 for program member employees)
- Student/Fellow: $35
- Client: $20
- Sustaining Member*: $150
- Lifetime Member*: One-time payment of $1,500 or three payments of $500
*The Individual Client and Student online joining feature is unavailable and you will need to submit an application to [email protected] or via USPS to the address on the application form. Client applicants must show program affiliation and/or provide name of referral. Student applicants must show proof of student ID.
*Advanced Membership Options
Show your support of NLADA’s mission by increasing your membership dues contribution with one of our advanced individual membership categories. The additional revenue generated by these memberships enables NLADA to expand its services and benefits to all members.
Sustaining Member – Individuals in any membership category can show extra support to NLADA's mission by becoming a Sustaining Member in place of other individual membership options. Like other membership categories, Sustaining Memberships must be renewed annually.
Lifetime Member – Demonstrate your lifelong commitment to NLADA and never worry about renewing your membership again by becoming a Lifetime Member. Lifetime Members are entitled to all of the benefits of NLADA membership for life and receive special recognition in select NLADA publications.
