The Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc., (FDSDI) has an opening for a full‐time Supervisory Computer Systems Administrator (SCSA) in our San Diego office. FDSDI is a nonprofit organization fully funded by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts. We are not a government agency and as such are not government employees. FDSDI provides legal representation to indigent persons charged with federal crimes in the San Diego and Imperial Counties. The SCSA will be primarily based in the San Diego office but will also provide support to the branch office location in El Centro, California.
The SCSA has first line responsibility for providing technical and end-user support (approximately 150 users) for all IT-based systems, and for performing or coordinating all automation support services necessary for the successful operation of IT-based systems. The SCSA will work with his/her supervisor to oversee the current functions of the IT Department. The SCSA will supervise the current functions of the IT staff. The SCSA will be required to prepare periodic reports of his/her work activities and meet regularly with supervisors to establish priorities.


Applicants must have at least five years of experience performing the IT functions as described in the attached job description. Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or any IT related discipline is preferred. Microsoft Certification in Windows 2012 Server or higher and supervisory management experience is required. Salary range: 
Salary based on experience and in accordance with guidelines issued by the Defender Services Office. Starting Salary Range 13/1 $92,108 - 14/1 $108,843
