Northern Nevada Legal Aid (NNLA), formerly known as Washoe Legal Services, is looking for an part-time HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. An HR Manager is the go-to person for all employee-related issues, including job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development. Promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture is a vital role of the HR Manager. Duties and Responsibilities
• Define job descriptions for positions, distribute job postings, and facilitate the hiring process.
• Address health, safety, and worker management issues, including compliance with federal workplace laws.
• Develop and conduct necessary training and professional development programs.
• Facilitate job performance reviews.
• Implement incentive programs to increase employee productivity and performance.
• Design programs and procedures regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
• Keep track of records employee data such as wages, vacations, medical leave, attendance, and employee data.
• Updating Employee Handbook.
• Review and update policies as needed.
• Maintain and administer pay plan and benefits program.
• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resources management.
• New hire employee onboarding.
• Employee offboarding.
Qualifications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be comfortable communicating with employees to successfully handle issues that arise between an organization’s workforce and management.
• Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive.
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
• In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
• Degree in Human Resources or related field.

Salary/Benefits
Position is a part-time, non-exempt position, with an hourly rate of $25-30/hour, to be determined based upon experience and qualifications. Benefits depend on number of hours/week worked.
