The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) is the statewide public defender agency which provides legal representation to indigent clients throughout the State of Oklahoma, with the exception of Oklahoma and Tulsa counties.
OIDS is currently seeking a full-time Investigator in our Appellate Program, Norman office. The Appellate Program has two Divisions, each based in Norman, providing appellate services to individuals convicted in state court of all varieties of offenses in criminal cases, including those involving the death penalty. Investigative tasks on appeal may involve interviewing clients, witnesses, and trial counsel; identifying, collecting, reviewing and organizing case records and collecting records; and other tasks assigned by counsel.

Persons with experience in criminal investigation, social work, teaching/special education, journalism, psychology and counseling, or probation and parole are encouraged to apply.
