The Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati is accepting applications for full-time attorney positions in our Cincinnati office, and in the Cincinnati office of our affiliate Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio, LLC. (Legal Aid). Legal Aid is a non-profit law firm dedicated to reducing poverty and ensuring family stability through effective legal assistance. Legal Aid provides legal services in Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, and Warren Counties in Southwest Ohio.
Position Description
Our attorneys provide a full range of legal services to our client community. We represent clients in civil legal cases, as well as carry out advocacy for low-income groups to address poverty and equity. We participate with nonprofit agencies and other groups to improve public policy affecting low-income people. Legal Aid has four practice groups: Housing and Consumer; Income, Work, and Health; Family and Immigration - including domestic violence cases; and Children & Education. Staff attorneys usually work in two areas of practice. We are especially interested in attorneys with 3-5 years of relevant experience; 2019 law grads will also be considered.

Qualifications
Applicants must be admitted to practice law in Ohio, planning to sit for the July 2019 Ohio Bar exam, OR be licensed in another state and eligible for temporary admission. Additional requirements include:
• Demonstrated interest in public interest law
• Experience advocating for the interests of low-income clients
• Strong academic record
• Excellent organization, writing, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle a demanding workload
• Creativity and problem solving skills
• Reliable transportation to serve clients in a seven-county service area
