Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia, a full service law firm serving low-income Virginians, seeks a Managing Attorney for its Peninsula Office, located in Hampton, Virginia. The Managing Attorney is responsible for the supervision of the Hampton and Williamsburg offices as well as carrying a full caseload. Experience in family law, landlord tenant, debt collection defense, consumer rights, and public benefits is required. Federal practice experience is also a plus. Additionally, LASEV prides itself in its community outreach activities, and the Managing Attorney will be expected to develop, expand, and actively participate in outreach efforts on the Peninsula to ensure the firm is reaching its most vulnerable clients and is in touch with the needs and concerns of our client community. Must be a member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar, or the ability to become licensed to practice in Virginia within six months of hire. Salary commensurate with experience. EOE.
