Position Description: 

Outten & Golden LLP (“O&G”), a law firm dedicated to workplace fairness, has an opening for a litigation paralegal, with a minimum of 3 years of experience, in our growing DC office to assist attorneys with individual and class action litigation on behalf of workers. The individual will primarily assist attorneys in the Washington, D.C. office with occasional support being required in other offices, and will report to the Litigation Support Manager in New York. Work days are from 10 am – 6 pm, four days per week and from noon – 8 pm one day per week. Flexibility in the daily work schedule around the lunch period may be necessary. Overtime work may be required during periods of heavy workflow.

Job Duties
• Assist in case investigation and development, conduct factual and legal research, interviews, information gathering, and analysis;
• Maintain case files and document discovery databases;
• Draft, proofread, and format routine correspondence and documents for filing in accordance with applicable rules;
• Electronically file documents with courts and agencies
• Perform other administrative tasks and provide other assistance to attorneys as may be assigned.

Requirements: 

Successful candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with excellent interpersonal skills, writing and proofreading skills, and a commitment to promoting workers’ rights. Litigation experience in a law firm or non-profit setting is required.
