Position Description: 

Outten & Golden LLP seeks a junior to mid-level associate who will work in its Chicago office on both individual and class-action employment matters. The associate will represent employees on individual litigation and negotiation in all areas of employment law, including cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, leaves of absence, layoffs and executive compensation. The associate will also work on class and collective actions involving workplace discrimination and wage theft.
The associate will have extensive client contact and the opportunity to work on cases in a variety of contexts including federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agencies (e.g., the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission). In addition, the associate will also play a very active role on cases, including investigating new cases, handling discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting motions, participating in negotiations and mediations, attending court hearings, and participating in appellate litigation

Requirements: 

Must have 2-5 years of experience, preferably in employment law and/or a judicial clerkship. Successful candidates will have strong analytical, writing, research and client management skills and a commitment to protecting individual employment rights.

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.
