West Virginia Advocates, Inc., West Virginia’s designated protection and advocacy system committed to promoting and protecting the human and legal rights of citizens with disabilities, is seeking a full-time Legal Director. The Legal Director provides leadership, vision, planning and supervision of the legal work of WVA. The Legal Director is responsible for ensuring high quality representation to clients and provides direct supervision to attorneys in the office. The Legal Director is a member of the management team and participates in setting priorities, budgeting, policy development, and other management activities. Qualifications: Degree from ABA accredited law school, member of the WV Bar Association, a licensed attorney in good standing in the State of WV and a minimum of six years legal experience. Position requires knowledge of Medicaid, employment, special education, public accommodations, housing, discrimination, and other disability related legal issues. Excellent benefits package.
