Central City Concern is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comprehensive solutions to ending homelessness and achieving self-sufficiency. CCC provides many services, such as addiction treatment, employment, housing, mental health, primary care, and other related culturally specific services, to a diverse population. TITLE: Attorney
DEPARTMENT: Legal Affairs
SALARY: $81,766-$98,119
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

SUMMARY: The Attorney will work with the General Counsel to ensure that all legal matters within the agency are monitored, managed, and handled in a timely and efficient manner, with a focus on legal matters and issues associated with CCC’s housing, real estate development, social enterprises, and employment services initiatives. The Attorney will also work with the General Counsel to develop and execute CCC’s agency-wide legal strategies and initiatives. This position will require self-motivation, project management skills and excellent communication skills with a wide variety of people, including senior and executive level management and outside agencies.

Requirements: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. JD degree required from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice law in the State of Oregon and in good standing. Candidates admitted to practice law in another state will be considered only if they commit to applying for admission to the Oregon Bar within 6 months of hire.
3. Minimum two years’ experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or other relevant experience.
4. Must possess excellent legal skills and communication skills, both written and verbal, strong project management, analytical and negotiation skills.
5. Must have, and maintain, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass a driving record check as determined by Central City Concern criteria and also must have access to a vehicle and maintain personal automobile insurance which meets Central City Concern criteria.
6. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test and background check.
7. Will be required to carry a cell phone for work use. Cell phone to be provided by Central City Concern.
8. Must adhere to agency’s policies, including but not limited to, non-discrimination, safety, drug and alcohol-free workplace, violence prevention and harassment-free workplace.
9. Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientation, and treat each individual with respect and dignity.
