Vermont Legal Aid seeks a full-time attorney to work in its Montpelier, Vermont office. The position will include work with our Victims of Crime and Medicare Advocacy Projects.. Practice areas include: housing, benefits, abuse and other civil legal matters, representation of victims in criminal proceedings, and representation of Medicare beneficiaries in administrative appeals and Medicare reform issues through systemic litigation in the federal courts.
Starting salary is $51,000 plus D.O.E. with excellent fringe benefits.
Applicants must have excellent written and oral skills and demonstrated experience in public interest law, civil rights law, or legal services. Applicants must be admitted to practice in Vermont, eligible for admission by waiver, or pending bar admission. Some in-state travel required; must have personal vehicle.
