Position Description: 

The Operations Associate will be responsible for providing technology, facilities &
general operational support for all staff at our main office as well as at our satellite
locations located in Southeast and D.C. Superior Court. Job responsibilities could
include: set up new user accounts and train new users as appropriate; troubleshoot
outages, install and configure hardware, software, printers, scanners, copiers and
telephones; assist with office moves, relocation of equipment/furnishings and perform
minor furniture repairs; ensure conference rooms are set up properly for meetings up to
and including AV; and other tasks as may be required to support the day-to-day
operations of the organization.

(Note: As a result of the public health emergency, Legal Aid is currently operating remotely
and, dependent on current circumstances, the individual hired for this position may start their
employment working remotely but with some in office work also required.)


The successful candidate will have the following:
• A commitment to social, economic and racial justice;
• One to two years of related IT experience (required);
• Experience with MS Office, Windows, Google Workplace, Microsoft 365
• Experience with LegalServer (preferred);
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail;
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments;• Desire and ability to take initiative on projects;
• Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others;
• An understanding of the nonprofit world/working with limited resources
