Deputy Director, Racial Equity Initiatives

Tinsae Gebriel is a mission-driven policy analyst with a track record of supporting federal and state policy initiatives and campaigns to advance sentencing reforms. She is passionate about reducing the power and scope of the criminal punishment system and working with directly impacted communities to promote systemic change. Before joining NLADA, Tinsae served as a deputy director of policy at FAMM, a criminal legal reform non-profit advocacy organization. Tinsae received her Master’s in Public Policy with a concentration in Urban and Social Policy from George Washington University and her BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park.
