Position Description: 

We are seeking an experienced attorney to represent survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault in a full range of family law proceedings and immigration matters. The position involves the following duties:
• Representing survivors at all stages of family law cases, including: dissolution, custody, support, protective orders and property issues
• Representing in seeking immigration relief related to domestic violence and/or sexual assault
• Supervising high paced pro per court based Domestic Violence Restraining Order Clinics
• Identifying systemic problems that affect our clients’ rights and addressing these challenges through affirmative advocacy and policy work
• Conducting community outreach and training
• Collaborating with the local and national domestic violence organizations to address policy and impact issues affecting domestic violence and sexual assault survivors


About the Successful Candidate:
• California State Bar membership in good standing
• Passion for and deep understanding of working with a diverse community of low-income individuals, including immigrants, youth, and/or people with disabilities;
• Familiarity with family law and at least two years of litigation;
• Excellent communication, writing and public speaking skills;
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team;
• Exceptional listener and strategist who thrives in a collegial environment
• Sense of humor
• A driver’s license and access to a car
• Fluency in Spanish preferred
