The Rutgers Immigrant Justice Clinic (IJC) at Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey is seeking to hire a Part-time Attorney to begin immediately. The title of this position is Staff Attorney (part-time) and the attorney will be part of the New Jersey Consortium of Immigrant Children, a collaborative comprised of non-profit organizations, New Jersey’s law schools, and the private sector, with a mission to increase the number of pro bono attorneys available to represent undocumented immigrant children in New Jersey. The Staff Attorney (part-time) will be responsible for representing immigrant children crime victims in Cumberland and Salem counties in applications for immigration relief, including possible appearances before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and New Jersey Family Court.


Candidates for the position must be licensed attorneys admitted to the bar of any state. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in immigration law, experience working with children or crime victims, excellent oral and written communication skills, and bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish). The Staff Attorney (part-time) will be dually-based at Rutgers Law School in Camden and in Cumberland and Salem counties. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are also required.
