Position Description: 

The Rutgers Child and Family Advocacy Clinic (CFAC) at Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey is seeking to immediately hire a Full-time Attorney. The title of this position is Staff Attorney and is part of a grant-funded project to increase access to legal representation for abused, neglected, and trafficked children in Cumberland and Salem counties in NJ. The Staff Attorney will represent child victims in child welfare, child custody and other family law proceedings in New Jersey Superior Court. The Staff Attorney will also provide legal assistance and advocacy on education law matters. 

Requirements: 

Candidates for the position must be a New Jersey-licensed attorney in good standing. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in family law (preferably New Jersey family law), some experience working with children or crime victims, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required. The Staff Attorney will be dually-based at Rutgers Law School in Camden and at an office in Cumberland or Salem counties. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are also required.
