Position Description:

Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit environmental law organization. We take on the biggest, most precedent-setting cases across the country. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health; to preserve magnificent places and wildlife; to advance clean energy; and to combat climate change. We partner with thousands of groups, supporters and citizens to engage the critical environmental issues of our time, and bring about positive change. We are here because the earth needs a good lawyer.

Founded in 1971, Earthjustice has a distinguished track record of achieving significant, lasting environmental protections. We achieve this by hiring those who share a passion for justice and a healthy environment. Our headquarters are in San Francisco with twelve offices across the U.S.

The Florida Regional office focuses on litigation involving water pollution and conservation, public trust waters, wetlands protection, Everglades restoration, wildlife, clean air, and climate change in federal, state and administrative courts. We are also building out our healthy communities program.

Earthjustice Florida currently has an office in Tallahassee, and will be expanding and opening an office in the Miami area in 2016. An additional office in southern Florida will help Earthjustice expand its docket and meet the emerging environmental needs and challenges facing Florida and the region.
