Ohio State Legal Services Association (OSLSA) is looking for four individuals with a demonstrated commitment to making a difference in the lives of indigent people and their communities for attorney positions in its two field programs, The Legal Aid Society of Columbus (LASC) and Southeastern Ohio Legal Services (SEOLS). LASC and SEOLS, serving 36 counties in southeastern and central Ohio, are parts of Ohio State Legal Services Association (OSLSA) which fights poverty and its impact through its field programs and its statewide advocacy program, the Ohio Poverty Law Center. Three of the attorneys would be located in SEOLS’s offices in Chillicothe, Newark, and New Philadelphia and would focus two/thirds of
their time holistically helping and advocating for victims of domestic violence with their remaining focused on general poverty law representation and advocacy. One of the attorneys would be located in LASC’s office in Marion and would focus on holistically helping victims of domestic violence.
OSLSA attorneys are encouraged and supported in being creative, effective advocates in federal, state and local judicial, administrative, and legislative advocacy and forums. Applicants must be admitted to the Ohio Bar or eligible to take the next bar exam.
