NLADA’s Communications Intern will provide support to the Communications Department. This internship is unpaid, but eligible for academic or course credit if approved by your educational institution.


  • Posting and monitoring NLADA social media activities including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and other media outlets
  • Draft short articles and other content as needed
  • Assist with website editing and updating content
  • Assist in the creation of print and web materials for conferences and trainings
  • Assist Communications Department with various tasks as assigned


  • Undergraduate or graduate student with a minimum of one (1) year working experience - preferably in an administrative, assistant or other detail-oriented role
  • Strong organizational skills and keen detail-orientation
  • Demonstrated work ethic and positive attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite- including PowerPoint
  • Strong digital social media skills and savvy with Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms
  • Solid writing skills in AP style
  • Digital graphic skills highly desirable - but not required
