Grant-funded Domestic Relations Attorney position is available in the Denver office of Colorado Legal Services (CLS), Family and Children's Unit, to represent low-income individuals in actions involving domestic relations issues in Colorado state courts and to advocate for these issues with grantors and community organizations. Colorado Legal Services ("CLS") is a statewide, legal aid program with 13 offices and more than 55 attorneys; the successful candidate will be extensively trained, handle her/his own caseload, advocate for low-income people, negotiate with opposing attorneys, engage with community organizations and complete outreach to domestic violence and other survivor-based populations, and go to hearing often. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate her/his sensitivity to the legal needs of low-income individuals, seniors, and minorities. Bilingual English/Spanish skill is desired.
