Idaho Legal Aid Services (ILAS) is seeking applicants for an attorney based in the program’s Boise Office to serve clients in Ada, Boise, Elmore and Valley counties. The attorney will focus on family law cases where there has been domestic violence, sexual assault and/or stalking. Other cases may include housing, guardianships, public entitlements, senior, consumer and Indian law. Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
ILAS is a statewide nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services to low income persons in civil matters. We have served Idaho for 50 years and have offices located in Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston, Nampa, Boise, Twin Falls, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. A satellite office is located at the Nampa Family Justice Center. ILAS also has a Migrant Farmworker Law Unit and an Indian Law Unit and three attorney-staffed legal advice lines. The person hired for the position must believe in ILAS’s mission of providing equal access to justice, be a member of the Idaho State Bar, or be able to readily transfer based on their UBE score. Extra consideration given to applicants with litigation or family law experience and a history of public service.
