The nonprofit law firm: Founded in 1975 in Cincinnati, Pro Seniors operates with a staff of 34 on an annual operating budget of $2.4MM offering advice, representation and justice for seniors in Ohio in three areas: legal services, long-term care ombudsman, and the Ohio Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP). A United Way agency, Pro Seniors receives federal, state, and city funding in addition to fees, investment revenue, and philanthropic gifts and grants. http://www.proseniors.org

The position: The Executive Director, an attorney, is the chief executive officer of Pro Seniors, Inc. responsible for its overall administration, fundraising, and operation. Currently, the ED supervises two managing attorneys, managing ombudsman, SMP manager, controller, and resource development manager. This opportunity is open due to retirement.

Requirements: 

Experience, skills and competencies: The successful candidate will be a licensed attorney with familiarity in areas of the law impacting seniors such as elder law, estate planning, and long-term care. S/he will be the face of the organization and will bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to establish effective working relationships both internally and externally, and a proven track record of building and nurturing collaborations and partnerships with like-minded agencies and funders.

In addition, s/he will lead the management team to ensure the firm provides effective services and achieves regulatory and grant requirements and adherence to budgets; ensures all personnel related functions are carried out in an appropriate manner; ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations; directly engaged in all facets of resource development efforts to increase and diversify funding; and maintains a working knowledge of significant legal and long-term care developments and trends affecting seniors.
