HKM Employment Attorneys LLP is a growing law firm with offices in Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Kansas City, St. Louis, Denver, and Pittsburgh.
We intend to open more offices across the United States and we have immediate openings for Managing Partners throughout the country. If we find the right person, we would consider opening an office anywhere in the United States.
From our experience, we have found that those who have practiced as public defenders or as legal aid attorneys make a very good transition to plaintiff’s employment law. Indeed, we have several attorneys who have come to HKM after previously only doing public defender law work. Across the board, these former public defenders have thrived at HKM and, in our opinion, there is no better training for plaintiff’s employment law work than working as a public defender or in legal aid (and also because, in my experience, most public defenders get to stick it to “the man” – something you would also be doing at HKM).
