Staff Attorney, Immigration

The Immigration Department of Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc. in Plantation, Florida seeks a new staff attorney to provide immigration legal services to Broward families of mixed-immigration status. The attorney will handle a variety of immigration cases, including deportation defense and detention work, and family-based and humanitarian-based immigration benefits. In addition to providing legal services to clients before the Immigration Court and USCIS, the attorney will be responsible for hosting regular community Know Your Rights presentations and intake clinics in Broward County to screen potential clients. Candidate should have 1-3 years of relevant experience in immigration law, a commitment to providing legal services to the poor, and be a member of the Florida Bar. Spanish or Haitian Creole speaking candidates preferred. Position open immediately. Salary DOE, excellent benefits including health and dental insurance and vacation and sick leave. Requirements:
